Collaborative painting by Dana Ellyn & Matt Sesow.

Inspired by proposed cuts to Planned Parenthood in the “big beautiful” bill that just passed.

This painting reimagines the Madonna and child by contrasting a serene, idealized mother (painted by Dana) with three chaotic,  infants (painted by Matt). The children appear alien in her arms, raising questions about control, care, and who decides what’s “planned.”
